This course provides a foundational introduction to Total Worker Health (TWH) concepts and how they apply to everyday workers and to professionals responsible for worker safety and well-being. The course learning activities involve videos, readings, and interactive assessment and application activities, which will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete. A certificate of completion will be issued after completing all required activities. The course is intended for college and university students in fields related to occupational safety and health, such as public health, nursing, organizational psychology, occupational safety, ergonomics, industrial engineering, health promotion, and human resources management.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Recognize the value of TWH program and policy approaches for worker well-being;
  • Explain the defining elements of a TWH program;
  • Identify the relevance of TWH principles to the student’s future profession;
  • Develop an interest for and excitement about TWH practice.
